Hi Parents & Players

We hope you are looking forward to the Warsop Cricket Camp 2020

RATHER THAN A COVID EMAIL, WE THOUGHT WE WOULD SEND PLAYERS AND PARENTS A VIDEO. PLEASE BRING THE PASSWORD ON DAY!

FYI - We still have a handful of places available. Please feel free to contact parents/players who maybe interested and give them our information.

!!!HEAT WARNING!!!

Due to the hot summer we are experiencing we will make sure there are plenty of cooling off breaks throughout the day:
We will adapt the syllabus in order to limit high intensity work during the hottest parts of the day.

  • Wide hats/caps covering as much of head as possible.
  • Collared shirts if possible to protect neck.

Kit

Please feel free to bring your own, bats/pads/gloves/helmets. If you do not have any, please do not worry as we will have kit available.
All hard ball training will require full protection to be worn including helmets, abdominal guards. This is a legal requirement.

Hard Ball vs Training Balls

The syllabus is designed for players to see/bat/bowl many balls throughout the day. Young players are often keen to bat against cricket balls when undertaking batting drills and fielding drills.
Coaches will use a combination of cricket balls and hard tennis balls through the week.
Our preference for repetitive drills is to use hard tennis balls which replicate a cricket ball, however on impact on soft tissue will have less damage. These balls are used by professional cricketers for all types of batting drills and are not just for young players.

What to wear?

Please wear acceptable sporting attire (cricket whites are not mandatory).
Additional layers with them in case of a change in weather conditions.

  • Caps
  • Spare shirts
  • Please make sure a second pair of trainers are available in the event of indoor sessions.

Please arrive through the main gates registration will be in the CLUB HOUSE.

Feel free to ask an questions if you have any.
